Research Notes:
His children's ages at the censuses are inconsistent :-
1851 Census
William (age 3 in 1841 census) is 10 and Robert (not in 1841 census) is 12. I think the ages were entered the wrong way round. This idea came from the Auchmithie Roots Forum.
Agnes was born in 1849 and appears in the 1851 census aged 5!
1861 Census
Robert appears as 24, should be 20. Alexander appears as 20, should be 16. Agnes appears as 10, should be 12.
And, of course, there are all the errors that we cannot detect.
Relativity:
• Proof Link: Son's marriage.
• Branch: Cargill.
• Commemorated: Wife's Gravestone: St Vigeans Churchyard.
